How are you doing this week?
On Sunday, we looked at how the resurrected Jesus met the disciples on the evening of that first Resurrection Sunday. Jesus showed His wounds for three reasons.
First, for His identification. It’s the same for us. Do we see and believe in Jesus because of those wounds?
Second, Jesus’ wounds have secured our peace. Do we have His peace today?
Lastly, the wounds show us that the resurrection does not eliminate our scars, but validates them. Our scars will be part of our glory on the Last Day, highlighted as the instruments God used to sanctify us. Does this give us hope in the midst of our difficulties?
Take some time this week to meditate on the wounds of Jesus after His resurrection.
