Hey New Life,

How are you doing this week? Are you in need of help?

I shared this story before. Years ago, at the gym, I saw two big guys talking about religion. One shared he was a Christian. The other said that Christians use religion as a crutch and are therefore weak.

When I heard that, my first thought was… Amen, yes we are! We are weak, finite, and fallen. That is the truth for every person on earth. No one is perfect. No one is invincible. We all need help.

This Sunday, we talked about how God has sent us helpers. Jesus is the first Helper who ACCOMPLISHED the work of salvation on the cross. The Holy Spirit is the second Helper who APPLIES the work of salvation onto our hearts.

Do you need help today? Run to your Heavenly Father. Be helpless. Ask for the grace found in the cross and through the Holy Spirit. Plea to God for help, and He will give it to you. Jesus’ death on the cross for your sins guarantees it.

Continue to pray for one another and for this world.

In Christ,
Pastor Tim
