How are you? How is your week going? Have you been encouraged yet this week?
I was praying and reflecting this morning about what I should talk about during this week’s word of encouragement. I asked the Lord, “God, what can I say to encourage our people? What story can I give to relate with this Sunday’s passage? What words can I express that will inspire and strengthen our people?”
After reflecting on our passage, what was pressed upon my heart was the sufficiency of Scripture. I felt like the Lord was humbling me by telling me that I do not need anything else to add to or to improve the Word of God.
Friends, what better word can I give to you outside of this: For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103:11-12)

New Life, God loves you. He loves you with a love that reaches down to earth from the heavens. He has forgiven you. He has removed your sins from you as far as the east is from the west. He has removed your guilt. He has removed your shame. He has removed your condemnation.
There is no better hope than that. There is no better truth than that. And this truth is guaranteed to you by the blood of Christ.
Jesus is the One who came down from the high heavens to become a man to save us. He is the One who was removed all the way out to Calvary for the judgment of our sin. He is the embodiment of God’s steadfast love and mercy, and we have Him in our hearts.
I pray that this truth may be the foundation for your lives. I pray that it may encourage you and strengthen you this week. Meditate on it. Cherish it. Praise the Lord for it. Be renewed in it.
See you all on Sunday for Lord’s Day Worship! Pray for one another.
In Christ,
Pastor Tim
