How are you? How is your week going? Have you been living in wisdom?
There are many times when Junior, my son, says something to me, and I cannot make out what he is saying. Usually, I look at my wife for some clarification. If she can’t figure out what he is saying, I have him repeat it, and I tell him to point at what he’s talking about.
I do not know what’s on his mind. Only he knows, and only he can reveal it to me.
It’s the same thing with the wisdom of God. We talked about this during Sunday’s sermon. Wisdom comes from God, and only He can reveal it to us. Thankfully, we have the Spirit who knows the depths of God and comprehends the thoughts of God.
He reveals the wisdom of God which is found in His Word. This knowledge is not a knowledge that surpasses Scripture. This knowledge is a knowledge that is personal and intimate.
It rebukes us and challenges us. It encourages us and gives us hope. It transforms us from the inside out.
We can have this wisdom of God, because we have Christ, who is the wisdom of God. He died on the cross so that we may have new life. He gives us new hearts and new eyes through the power of His resurrection. He sends us His Spirit so that we may know Him.
Essentially, we can know God and His wisdom, because He first knew us in Christ.
Take some time this week and dive into God’s wisdom through the Word. Take the time to pray and ask for the Holy Spirit to reveal His wisdom to you. Take the time to enjoy the cross which makes all of this a reality. And praise the Lord!
See you on Sunday for Lord’s Day Worship. Pray for our worship together, for one another, and for our ministry.
In Christ,
Pastor Tim
