Wisdom and Death

In our passage, we see the certainty of death. Death will come for both the righteous and the wicked, and it is no reflection of God’s favor or hatred. At the same time, life is uncertain. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Solomon calls us urgently to enjoy the gifts God has given us and to trust in Him. We are able to do this through Christ who knew the certainty of His death and considered it joy, because it would become for us the certainty of His grace and victory.
