Vision

To increase the passion for Scripture and theology in a meaningful heart way that displays itself in transformed lives

Goals

  1. That every member of our EM would have a better understanding of the gospel and Reformed theology
  2. To teach our members to center themselves on the Word in their thinking, actions, and interactions with others
  3. That members would be able to instruction others in the Word via discipleship, teaching students, etc.
  4. To foster solid men’s and women’s ministry that can specific needs of the individual
  5. To train our parents to be godly parents and our children to be godly children
  6. For our College Students to be active on their campuses and learn how to stand firm in their faith in the midst of relativism

Department Duties and Responsibilities

  1. EM Bible Study – leading regular bible studies that equip the EM members to grow and mature in Christ
  2. EM Sunday Small Groups – overseeing the small group leaders as well as training and assisting the leaders to be more effective
  3. EM Membership – offered twice a year as a means to have individuals become an official part of the church
  4. EM College Group – leading our college students thru their small groups and bible studies
  5. Women’s Ministry – having this department that focuses on building unity amongst our sisters as well as avenues to grow as godly women including various conferences such as the Women’s Gospel Coalition
  6. Men’s Ministry – creating new opportunities for brothers to meet and grow as godly men
  7. EM Education Department – overseeing our EM Sunday School with teachers and student, training the teachers, and meeting with the families,
  8. EM Married Couples Fellowship – gathering of our Married Couples where they can have a focused time of growth and sharing

Qualifications for Word Department Leader

  1. A current registered member of New Life in good standing for one year with completion of the EM Membership Course
  2. Display leadership skills in leading others, handling Word Dept. duties, and delegating responsibilities
  3. A solid grasp of the Word and the ability to take the Word and apply it to the various sub department within the Word Dept.

Qualifications for Word Team Member

  1. A current registered member in good standing
  2. A solid understanding of Scripture and a heart that desire to lead others through Scripture

Responsibilities for the Word Department Leader

  1. To oversee the various sub depts. and provide the resources, training, and accountability necessary for the Word members to flourish
  2. Maintain their own individual walk in the Lord including daily devotions, prayer time, etc.

Responsibilities for the Word Department Member

  1. To maintain their personal walk with the Lord
  2. For EM Sunday School teachers, to teach the Word properly and seek assistance whenever needed from the EM pastor
  3. For Small Group leaders, to cover the Sunday sermon, keep track of prayer requests and the overall spiritual level of each members of their respective small group
  4. For College Core, to attend all college events and deepen the relationships with our college students via small groups, and bible studies
  5. For men’s and women’s ministries, creating more opportunities for the men and women of our EM to develop their identity as godly men and women
