Vision

To create a conviction for the gospel by by partaking in the Great Commission both locally and abroad

Goals

  1. That every member of our EM would have a greater heart for evangelism and world missions
  2. To better reach out to our community and use our gifts and talents to create avenues for evangelism
  3. To develop a deeper bond with our missionaries and to be more supportive in financial giving and prayer
  4. To train our members to more effectively share their faith and to create better avenues to share their faith
  5. Organize specific events geared toward reaching out to our non-Christian connections

Department Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Promoting a vision and heart for the community and the world
  2. Communication with our short term and long term missionaries
  3. Planning and setting up the schedule for long term missionary visitations
  4. Assisting our EM STSM teams in regards with training and preparation
  5. Planning local avenue to reach out to our community  (ex:  Community BBQ)
  6. Keep track of financial support for our missionaries

Qualifications for Outreach Department Leader

  1. A current registered member of New Life in good standing for one year with completion of the EM Membership Course
  2. Display leadership skills in leading others, handling outreach dept. duties, and delegating responsibilities
  3. Previous experience with short term missions work

Qualifications for Outreach Team Member

  1. A current registered members in good standing
  2. Ability to clearly share the gospel and understands the need for missions and mercy ministries

Responsibilities for the Outreach Department Leader

  1. Organize outreach events such as Community BBQ, evangelical outreach events, etc.
  2. Assist short term teams with organizing, planning and fundraising
  3. Oversee meeting with Outreach Dept. members
  4. Oversee the local outreach including outreach to the community (ex. Habitat, local schools, etc.)
  5. Regular communication with our missionary contacts or delegating that responsibility to dept. members

Responsibilities for the Outreach Department Member

  1. Participating and assisting with various outreach events
  2. Assisting short term teams with logistics including purchases, fundraising events, ministry planning, etc.
  3. To reach out to our missionaries including preparing care packages and regular communication
