Hey everyone,

Hope you guys are ready for the long weekend. A reminder that we’ll be having our Joint Morning Prayer Meeting and EM Prayer Meeting at 6 and 7am. We have decided to focus our EM prayer meetings on EM needs and for missions. For those of you who had an opportunity to go on missions in the past, especially to Cambodia, this is a great opportunity to pray for the people and the country. Here’s today’s devotion:

Friday, Sept 3rd – Ezekiel 16-17

We see the nature of God’s nurture and care for His people. He would raise Israel when it was unwanted and raise it to be a young bride. But not any young bridge but the crown jewel of the world. How would Israel repay this love? By running into the arms of other lovers and forsaking the Lord. The Lord would use this analogy in order to show God’s people the extent of their unfaithfulness and the reason for judgment.

Likewise, we must remember that we were unwanted by this world and God Himself. He would love us even when we weren’t deserving of love and cloth us with His righteousness. So what can we do in response to this great love? Our Heavenly Father calls us to follow Him and love Him by obeying what He has commanded us to do.

Have an awesome weekend in the Lord and I hope you guys can join us for prayer tomorrow. God bless!

P. Ben
